Why the Sapphire Coast?
I grew up on this coastline, and I've been photographing it for over a decade. The Sapphire Coast is wild, unspoiled, and photogenic in every direction—Bortle-2 skies, pounding surf, and towering rock formations.
We'll shoot the classics and some hidden gems: Milky Way arcs over Glasshouse Rocks, Horse Head Rock at sunrise, Camel Rock's crashing waves, and long exposures at Australia Rock.
This isn't just a workshop. It's a creative reset.
Glasshouse Rocks
Capture the Milky Way rising over these dramatic sea stacks in a Bortle-2 sky environment.
Horse Head Rock
Iconic sunrise location with unique rock formations emerging from the ocean.
Camel Rock
Dramatic wave action against this uniquely shaped rock formation.
Australia Rock
Perfect for long exposures and capturing the soft light of golden hour.
Mystery Bay
Impressive sea stacks and amazing compositions with crystal-clear waters.
Cuttagee Beach
Stunning curved shoreline with dramatic rock formations at sunset.

How does All-Inclusive work?
You get 4–5★ private-room accommodation (no twin-share), all local transfers to/from each shooting location, and Moruya Airport pickup/drop-off. No driving. No logistics. Just photography.
How do I get there?
Fly Sydney → Moruya (MYA) with Rex (≈1 hr). We include airport transfers (30–45 min to Narooma). Alternatively, self-drive: Canberra ≈3 hrs; Sydney ≈5 hrs.
What fitness level is required?
Walks up to 1–2 km on sandy or rocky terrain with gear, at a relaxed pace.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancel 60+ days out for a full refund. Inside 60 days, partial credit applies if we fill your place. We recommend travel insurance for unexpected circumstances.
Is there power & reception?
4G reception is strong in most areas; charging is available in the accommodation. We also carry vehicle charging solutions during the day.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes—mandatory to cover you and your gear against delays, loss, and injury during the workshop.
What about special diets?
Meals are pay-as-you-go; we’ll suggest local restaurants with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other options.
What if the weather is bad?
Clouds = extended editing labs. Stormy seas = dramatic seascapes. We pivot to make every condition productive.
Is this beginner friendly?
If you understand Manual mode basics, we’ll take it from there. You’ll finish more confident and capable.
What are the drone rules?
Drone use follows CASA rules (≥30 m from people, VLOS, <120 m). NPWS areas require written approval; some coastal spots outside NPWS boundaries may allow flying—site-by-site guidance provided.

"Dylan has put a lot of time and effort into this workshop. He is easy to understand and ensures each student gets the time they need to grasp the concepts. I really appreciated that there were only four students—Dylan spent plenty of time with each of us. The follow-up eBooks he created and published are a terrific way to reinforce the weekend and make sure the new techniques and knowledge really stick. Thank you Dylan—I really enjoyed the weekend and can’t wait to see what’s next."
